The Strength Workout Library is a facilitation utility that helps you schedule muscular strength exercises for your athletes. Adding strength events on your athletes’ calendars helps you, as a coach, get new — or returning — athletes in shape, before getting them started with their endurance training plan for their goal race. This way, it’s easier for you to add strengthening workouts to their calendars, whenever necessary. 


Scheduled strength workouts also help your athletes have at their fingertips the complete preliminary training they’ll have to follow before starting their endurance plan, so that they won’t miss a workout. 


Strength events work like normal sports events on your athletes’ calendar. The difference lies in their creation; they are simpler, in the following ways:   

  1. No zones or HR settings are needed. You only need to adjust the number of sets, repetitions, intensities and rest periods for each workout.
    (e.g. Squats: 4 sets, 15 reps, 80% 1RM, 120’’ of rest)

  2. Incline and ascent are non-existent in this type of event.

  3. Stress is also a non existent parameter in this type of event. This type of stress is mainly mechanical. As such, we can’t calculate it with common measurement devices, such as sports watches.


You can set up Strength events to represent your athletes' muscular strength exercises, following the steps we describe below.

 

How to create, modify, move and delete strength workouts 

Adding a Strength Event on your Athlete’s Calendar

To add a new strength workout on your Athlete’s calendar follow the steps below:


Step 1: Find the athlete you want to schedule the strength training for.


Step 2: Navigate to their calendar



Step 3: Drag and drop the strength event onto a preferred date


Step 4: Configure the strength event parameters 

  1. Click on Add Exercise


  1. Select the Muscle group you want to focus on


  1. Select the type of exercise you want your athlete to perform


  1. Specify exercise details (number of sets, repeats, intensity, rest)



Step 5: Save the strength workout you just created



Modifying a Strength Event 

Step 1: Find the strength workout you want to modify and click on it


Step 2: Click on View Details to edit its settings 


Step 3: Modify the strength workout parameters 

Step 4: Click on Update Workout to save your changes

Removing/Deleting a Strength Event

Step 1: Find the strength workout you want to delete and click on it


Step 2: Click on Actions at the bottom-right hand corner of the pop-up window


Step 3: Click on Delete Workout and confirm your decision

Moving a Strength Event

Step 1: Drag and drop the strength workout you want to reschedule onto a different date slot

Step 2: On the context menu that appears, click on Move here
