Now you can accept and manage payments from your athletes with ease and security within your ScienceTraining coach account. Please note that this feature is only available for Pro Plan users. If you have a free plan, you can upgrade to the Pro Plan by following the brief guide below:


How to upgrade from the Free to the Pro Plan


Here’s what you have to do to set up Integrated Payments in ScienceTraining:

Step 1: Go to the “Payments” tab

Log in to your ScienceTraining coach account and click the “Payment” tab, at the top of your screen. Then, select “View payment options”.


Step 2: Connect your Stripe account

Once you're on the “Payments” page, you can watch a brief video to get a first glimpse of the new feature.



The main action you need to take during this step is to connect your Stripe account to enable online payments. Click the “Connect” button and follow the necessary steps in the Stripe gateway.


Step 3: Create a new fee or plan 

After setting up your Stripe account, go back to the Payments screen and click on the “Create new fee/plan” button under the “Payment options”.


Create one-off or recurring fees for your athletes

In the pop-up window, you can either choose to create a one-off payment or a subscription plan


Choose the “One-off payment” option if you want to charge events that happen once or without a specific frequency, e.g., a pre-training test or an ad hoc training session. Fill in the fields (the ones with a red asterisk are mandatory), and press the “Save” button.



Choose the “Subscription plan” option if you want to assign recurring fees to your athletes, e.g., a monthly training plan or an annual training subscription. Fill in the fields (the ones with a red asterisk are mandatory), and press the “Save” button.


Step 4: Apply fees or plans to athletes

Once you've set up your fees, you can see them under the “Payment options” section on the “Payments” page.



To assign a subscription plan to an athlete or a group of athletes, click “Apply to athletes”, on the respective plan. Select the athletes you want to assign the plan to and click “Continue”.


Step 5: Set payment start date(s)

In the window that appears on your screen, set the athletes’ first payment due date, and click “Apply”. Your assigned athletes will be notified via email and their ScienceTraining athlete account.  

Note: The invoice is issued automatically 5 days before the payment due date.


Step 6: View payments history and status

To have an overview of your payments, click on the “Payments” tab and select “View payments history”


Here, you'll see all the athletes that are assigned to a fee or plan and the status of the payments.

To see the payment history and status per athlete, click on the athlete’s name on the left of your screen.


In the pop-up window, you’ll see the athlete’s payment history and status categorized by the following three scenarios: 


  • Overdue — Which payments are yet unpaid (if any)

  • Recurring fees — The fees the athlete pays on a monthly or yearly basis

  • One-off fees — The fees the athlete is to pay (or has paid) for an ad hoc service they bought from you.

Step 7: Edit a subscription

On the same page, click on “Edit fee” on the right side of your screen to pause the subscription or change the assigned plan per athlete.



Step 8: Add a manual payment

To add a manual payment, go to the “Payments” page and click the “Add manual payment” button on the upper right side of your screen. 

Fill in the required fields and click “Add payment”.


That was it! You have just successfully set up your own online payment system within your ScienceTraining coach account.
